Shock G

Shock G, born Gregory Edward Jacobs on August 25, 1963, was an influential American rapper, producer, and musician, best known as the frontman of the hip-hop group Digital Underground. His genre primarily encompassed hip-hop, with elements of funk and alternative rap.

Shock G gained prominence with the group's debut album, "Sex Packets" (1990), which featured the hit single "The Humpty Dance," showcasing his alter ego, Humpty Hump. This track became a cultural phenomenon, celebrated for its playful lyrics and catchy beat. Digital Underground's work was pivotal in the development of West Coast hip-hop, blending humor and social commentary, and they played a crucial role in launching the career of Tupac Shakur, who was a member of the group before his solo success.
